Its finally here.After long waiting and lots of emails from players with facts on WC3NC being dead we are pleased to announce the Warcraft 3 Nations Cup Season 3.This season we have slightly changed the format so that the season ends short but it stays as exciting as usual.We have decided that last season's 16 players from the playoffs will be autoqualified and start playing from Round of 32 and we will be picking another 16 players from the groups who would qualify from the group stage to meet up with last seasons players at round of 32.


The 16 autoqualified players are not yet confirmed as to whether they would be interested to play this season as of yet or not but if a player refuses to play he will be switched with an appropriate player from the Round of 32 of last season.


The group format is still same there will be 16 groups of 4 players each and only one will qualify,but all matches will be needed to be done at their appropriate scheduled time or else it will be considered as a forfeit.


Also please note public applications are not yet open since out of the 64 players for the groups we are going to invite some players this season first before we open public applications.(Public Applications will probably be open up next week)

Recently, I have been taking a significantly less of a role in the management of the International Gaming League, due to a combination of my unavailabilities over the past few months and the fact that I need to focus greater attention on my schoolwork. As a result, I will be resigning from my position of Head Administrator of the IGL sometime over the next month. It is still fully unclear what will happen to a possible WC3NC tournament this year, however the CCL will be finished as scheduled.

It is by consequence that on this day and during the coming week last year that I had been thinking about creating the WC3NC and did so. With the help of my staff, we achieved a lot and I am proud of my management endeavors in the Warcraft III community.

I would like to especially thank all my staff for working with me here. Most notably I would like to thank Cherry for his many hours of work on the tournament, for which without him, a lot of what was accomplished here would have not been possible. Others including, Passenger, Toshiki, Oc3, Holcan and Rift have spent a great deal of time managing this tournament, for which I am grateful for as well. There have been many others who have helped with this tournament and with my other endeavors in the Warcraft III community and I would like to thank all of you as well. I thought it was also necessary to thank Ross for introducing me to the Warcraft III professional gaming scene in the first place.

I will still be around, but less still. Thank you all once again!
